Texas License to Carry (LTC) Class

This is the Texas DPS approved course that will satisfy the 4-6 classroom hours required by the state to obtain a License To Carry. Following the course there will be a Written Exam & a Range Proficiency exam that students will be required to complete both with a passing score.

At completion of the course, testing and handgun qualifications, you will be issued the state-required LICENSE TO CARRY A HANDGUN CERTIFICATE OF TRAINING (FORM LTC-100) for application to the state.

The requirement by the DPS is that the applicant must be proficient with their handgun. This is not a class that will teach you how to shoot.

* Our range does have guns, ears and eye protection for rent if needed and limited amount of ammunition for additional cost

Basic Handgun Safety

Our Basic Handgun Safety is built specifically for the new gun owner for responsible gun ownership. Our certified and experienced Instructors guide you through the critical first steps of owning a firearm: firearm safety, handling and safe storage at home. We then move onto the range to help you develop proper shooting fundamentals such as grip, stance, load/unload and more.

Pistol Courses

PISTOL 101

This Course is designed to give new shooters the necessary skills to operate a pistol properly. Students will learn the fundamentals of a holster draw, and how to properly measure their shooting metrics to improve themselves, as well as the proper way to utilize magazine changes.

PISTOL 102

This Course is a continuation of what will be taught in Pistol 101. Before Signing up for 102, students MUST complete Pistol 101. This course will build upon the metrics learned in the first course, and will introduce new concepts such as balancing speed and precision, as well as multiple target engagements.

Rifle Courses

RIFLE 101

Rifle sling and mag carriers are REQUIRED. This course will teach you how to properly utilize modern fighting rifles. The course will include proper utilization of safety, manual of arms, magazine changes, and fluid use of any modern fighting rifle.

RIFLE 102

This course will build on the skills acquired in Rifle 101, in regards to building metrics you can improve upon in your rifle shooting. This will implement multi-string shooting, multiple target engagement, and varied distance target engagement.

CCHDF Instructors Course

Upon successfully completing this course, you will become a USCCA Certified Instructor, uniquely authorized to teach the USCCA course, Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals. This course has become the gold standard across the United States for law abiding Americans seeking to obtain their concealed carry permit. As a USCCA certified instructor, you will be trained and equipped to provide world-class instruction to students. You will have access to our world class classroom materials (including a full set of PowerPoint presentations and classroom videos). During this two-day training course, you’ll be taught by a USCCA Training Counselor on a number of valuable topics, including: The top ten instructor mistakes, and how to avoid them; teaching best practices; and running a safe live fire range. You’ll also have a chance to demonstrate your knowledge of the USCCA training material through seven short presentations to a group of your peers, as well as running a live fire range, guiding your peers through the safe completion of the USCCA course of fire. After completion of this course, you’ll not only be intimately familiar with the USCCA training methodology and materials, you’ll be a far better instructor and presenter, regardless of the topic of choice. Prior to the class, you must complete the corresponding eLearning. After passing the class, you will be sent an instructor shirt and toolkit.

Intro to Competitive Shooting

This course has been created for individuals that are wanting to start the journey into the world of competitive shooting sports. Our curriculum is geared towards USPSA an IDPA matches. Your instructors will take you through the safety concepts, procedures, rules and the gear that is required for competing. There is a live fire portion that will help give you basic skills to compete in a “match”. You as the student will get to run a mini stage to see all concepts come together in a culminating event.

INTRODUCTION TO NIGHT VISION

Immerse yourself in an all-inclusive night vision shooting experience. This course will have a classroom presentation where we will learn about different applications, history, and fitting of your night vision optical devices (NOD’s). We will then do a depth perception familiarization to ensure you are comfortable with your fit. Once complete, we will walk to our range where you will learn to utilize your weapon systems under low light conditions. By the end of the shooting portion our goal is for you to walk away with confidence in manipulating a weapon under NOD’s. During the range portion you will also learn how to engage multiple targets using an Infrared laser aiming systems. When you go through our course of fire you will undoubtedly understand the benefits of NOD’s. You will see what bumps in the night and learn how to bump back!   • Class starts at 10: 30am and applicants must be in their seats by 10:15am
  • Customers should sign the range waiver  prior to the start of the class
  • Registration for class closes 24h prior to the day of the class.
