Shoot House

The Gritr Range Shoot House is a modular, training solution. Its patented walls make it easy to quickly arrange in a multitude of different floor plans to suit the customers needs. It also allows for use of simulated munition systems to create a very realistic training environment. Utilizing shoot houses provides the missing element to any training curriculum.

GRITR Range is proud to announce that Home Defense training is now available for all legally armed citizens of the DFW area! We’ve officially opened Gritr Shoot house, DFW’s newest less-than-lethal facility. Students will train in a custom-built environment with state-of-the-art training systems produced by Unit Solutions and Trango Systems.

The simulation guns used at our shooting house are realistic replicas, but they fire paint munitions, not live rounds. This allows for a safe and exciting environment, as no firearms or live ammunition are permitted to enter the Shoot House.

We offer two comprehensive courses in respect to our Shoot House. The first, “Considerations in a Home Protection Plan,” is a theory class, teaching you how to assess your home security and make an effective protection plan. The second, “Room Clearing 101” is a hands-on, four hour course that will teach you how to effectively protect your home.

If you’d like to utilize the Shoot House training facility for your own purposes, you can rent it for three hours at a time.

Does GRITR shooting range offer room clearing training?

Absolutely! We’ve recently introduced our Shoot House at the GRITR range. It’s an easily modifiable, simulation environment for learning and practicing home protection and room clearing techniques.

What do you do in Shoot House?

At our Shoot House, you’ll train in a realistic environment using replica non-lethal guns that shoot a specific kind of paint balls. You’ll get to practice room clearing techniques in various simulated settings, such as CQB, home defense, and more.

In GRITR Shoot House, we use simulation guns that are made by real gun manufacturers. While they feel real, they actually fire paint munitions, ensuring safety while providing a realistic experience.

What kind of training does your Shoot House provide?

GRITR Shoot House offers two courses. The first course is founded on the principles taught in the USCCA’s Developing a Personal and Home-Protection Plan. It’s designed to boost your confidence in protecting your home. The second course draws heavily from current US Army Special Forces CQC techniques. You’ll understand basic concepts and practical applications of room clearing, home defense, and situational awareness.
